The driving position is high, with loads of headroom and useful dash storage, so the front feels fine on a long day. But rear visibility is poor, and it gets worse when the van is full. The backup camera helps, still I’d want more camera coverage on something this big. The screen and USB-C port are welcome, nothing fancy though.

So, I tested the F-MAX 500 on a long-haul journey recently. The new cockpit layout is user-friendly, which is nice. Though, I’d say the light interior plastics seem like they might show wear quite soon if not maintained carefully. On the performance front, the truck delivered solid road control and power, which counts for a lot with fully loaded carries. Overall, it did what it’s meant to do without too much hassle.
